Johnny Marr on scoring films
Johnny Marr is probably best known for his work as a guitarist with The Smiths, but after they broke up his career has continued with collaborations as a studio and touring musician with a wide variety of different bands including the Pretenders and Modest Mouse.
He started releasing original solo material in the early 2000's.
On this podcast episode, Marr talks film scoring with some big names like Hans Zimmer. That's one of my favorite parts of this interview! It's always enlightening to get a behind the scenes look at process, and to see how that process can change from project to project, even at the highest levels of the industry.
