How to coil audio cables the right way

Learn how to coil your audio cables the right way with London School of Sound’s video.

Look on the internet, and you’ll find a million different ways to coil audio cables the “right” way. I like this video, because it doesn’t just show multiple methods for doing it the right way. It also goes deeper and shows exactly why the ways you might have thought were correct, actually lead to cable kink and unnecessary wear and tear.

They’ve also done the best job I’ve seen at demonstrating the proper techniques clearly and concisely, with little room for confusion.

Cables are a disposable item in the music studio, so the more often you have to replace or troubleshoot your cables due to poor handling, the more annoying your life in the studio is going to be.

Well done London School of Sound! Go check out what they’re doing; they’re a nonprofit educational institution dedicated to maintaining strong professional audio standards in the U.K.
